What this is

Not a conversation about your future. A structured look at what is actually driving the question.

Career confusion rarely comes from a lack of information. It comes from not being able to see your own patterns clearly enough to make a grounded decision. This program changes that.

Whether the question is "should I pivot or rebuild?", "is it time to go back to school?", "is it my role, my organization, or me?", or simply "why does this feel so hard?" — assessment-informed work gives those questions a more useful answer.

The problem is rarely the options. It is the absence of clarity about what is actually true for you.

"Most people come to me about a job. Most of them are asking a different question."

What you get

What is included in this program.

1

Six Counselling-Informed Working Sessions

Delivered over 8–10 weeks. Structured, purposeful, and built around your specific career question — not a generic coaching template.

2

Two Career Assessments

Strong Interest Inventory and TriMetrix HD — completed before we begin and used throughout the program to give your direction a grounded, data-informed foundation.

3

A Written Career Clarity Plan

A practical, personalised written plan with clearer direction and next-step strategy — something you leave with, not just remember from a conversation.

4

Email Support Between Sessions

For reflection, follow-through, and the questions that come up between sessions — so the work continues when we are not in the room together.

Assessment tools are used as part of counselling-informed career development work. They are not diagnostic psychological tests and do not replace psychological assessment by a registered psychologist. Because this work is delivered by a Registered Clinical Counsellor, counselling sessions may be reimbursable through extended health benefits that cover RCC services. Coverage varies — check your plan before booking.

Questions

Common questions about this program.

How is this different from career coaching?

Career coaching is typically advice-based, forward-looking, and focused on goals and performance. This program is counselling-informed — meaning the work draws on clinical counselling skills to help you understand the patterns, assumptions, and emotional layers shaping your career decisions. The assessments give the work a data-informed foundation, and the six sessions go deeper than advice: they help you arrive at clarity you can trust.

What are the two assessments, and what do they measure?

The Strong Interest Inventory (SII) maps your career interests across six broad themes and compares your profile to people working in hundreds of occupations worldwide — useful for identifying where you are likely to feel most engaged. The TriMetrix HD surfaces your behavioural style, motivators, and values — the patterns that shape how you work, what drives you, and what kind of environment brings out your best. Together, they give the session work a grounded starting point instead of assumptions.

Can I use extended health benefits?

Because this work is delivered by a Registered Clinical Counsellor, counselling sessions may be reimbursable through extended health benefits that cover Registered Clinical Counsellor services. Coverage varies by plan — check your benefits before booking to confirm whether RCC services are included and what the reimbursement limits are.

What if I know I need to make a change, but I am not sure what kind?

That is the most common starting point. You do not need to arrive with a question already formed — that is part of what the process helps you build. The assessment data often reveals a clearer picture of what fits and what does not, which makes the actual decision easier to see.
