What this is really about

You already know this is bigger than a resume.

The career rebuild in Canada is not just a job search. The question is rarely only about which role to apply for. It is about something harder to name — and harder to solve on your own.

This program is for people who are tired of trying random options, collecting scattered advice, and carrying the whole rebuild alone. Who want more than generic settlement support or job-search tips.

Over 10 sessions, we work through the deeper layers of career rebuilding in Canada — not just what is possible, but what fits, what is realistic, and what is worth moving toward.

There is also a grief layer most programs do not acknowledge. The career you had, the status you carried, the version of yourself that had already made it — it is worth naming that something real was left behind. This program makes space for that, alongside the practical work.

What the rebuild actually involves

Direction

Where to go — and what fits you here

Identity

Who you are professionally — in a new context

Confidence

Your value, positioned for the Canadian market

Licensing & recognition

Credentials, licensing, and what Canada requires

Strategy

A real plan — not guesswork or scattered advice

A layer many programs miss

Language, meaning, and being understood at work.

For internationally trained professionals, the career challenge is not always what it appears. Competence is real. Experience is solid. But something still gets lost in translation — not because of language, but because of meaning.

The way you communicate confidence, authority, disagreement, or expertise may not map neatly onto Canadian workplace norms — even when your English is excellent. That gap is often invisible, which makes it harder to name and harder to close.

This program addresses that directly — not as a deficit to fix, but as a strategic layer of understanding that can change how you are perceived, how you are heard, and how you move forward.

Sessions available in English, Portuguese, or Spanish — including assessment debriefs and the written Canadian Career Plan.

Being misread, not just misunderstood

Strong performers who are passed over for roles they are clearly qualified for — often because something about how they present in Canadian professional contexts is not landing the way they intend.

Navigating licensing, retraining, and pivot decisions

The "should I get re-certified, go back to school, or pivot entirely?" question — answered with data, not guesswork. Including what your existing credentials can realistically do in Canada.

Translating prior experience

Making international experience legible to Canadian employers — not by downplaying it, but by finding the right language, framing, and strategy for the context you are now in.

What you get

What is included in this program.

1

10 Counselling-Informed Working Sessions

Delivered over 12–16 weeks. Structured, purposeful, and built around your specific situation — not a generic career coaching template.

2

Three Career Assessments

Strong Interest Inventory, TriMetrix HD, and EQ-i 2.0 — completed before we begin and used throughout the program to give your direction a grounded, data-informed foundation.

3

A Written Canadian Career Plan

A practical, personalised written plan with clearer direction and next-step strategy — something you leave with, not just remember from a conversation.

4

Email Support Between Sessions

For reflection, follow-through, and the questions that come up between sessions — so the work continues when we are not in the room together.

Assessment tools are used as part of counselling-informed career development work. They are not diagnostic psychological tests and do not replace psychological assessment by a registered psychologist. Because this work is delivered by a Registered Clinical Counsellor, counselling sessions may be reimbursable through extended health benefits that cover RCC services. Coverage varies — check your plan before booking.

The assessments

Three assessments. One integrated picture.

The program uses validated assessment tools as part of the work — not to reduce your career to a score, but to help build a structured picture of interests, behaviour, motivators, emotional intelligence, and career fit in the Canadian context. Below are sample visuals from the tools used in this program. Your own reports, if completed, will be more detailed and personalized.

Assessment sample report — not real client data.

Strong Interest Inventory

Patterns of interest and fit across occupational themes. Sample report shown. Not real client data.

The report is not the answer. The value of the work comes from how the results are interpreted in session — the debrief, the integration, and the translation into a clearer next step.

Who this is for

This is for you.

Not for everyone navigating a career question. For people who are rebuilding in a new country and want a structured, grounded program to move forward — not more scattered advice.

Book a Free Consultation

You are an internationally trained professional trying to rebuild your career in Canada.

You feel pulled between survival, ambition, identity, and practical reality — and need help making sense of all of it.

You are navigating licensing, career pivots, or genuine uncertainty about where you fit in the Canadian market.

You want more than generic settlement support or job-search advice — you want a real strategy built around who you actually are.

You have been in Canada for years and the rebuild has not gone as expected — and you are tired of working hard in the wrong direction.

You are in a survival job or a role below your level, and you want a realistic plan to move into work that matches what you have actually built.

Where you are in the journey

This program works at different stages of the rebuild.

Recently arrived · 0–2 years in Canada

Recently arrived, and trying to read the system clearly.

You are still trying to understand the market, the norms, and what your options actually are here. You know you are capable — but the system does not seem to know how to read you yet. You want a grounded strategy, not generic advice about networking.

Years in · 2–10+ years in Canada

The career you built before Canada still counts.

You have been here long enough to know the rebuild is not going as expected. You have done the workshops, the networking events, the certification courses. Some things have helped. You are still not where you thought you would be by now. The career you built before Canada still counts — and the work here is built to make it legible without asking you to start over from zero.

Working but under-recognized

Employed — but not at the level your experience earns.

You are employed — perhaps in a survival job, a bridge job, or a role below your actual level. The credential translation is partial. The professional identity is eroding. You want to understand what it will realistically take to be recognized at the level your experience earns. If you are pre-arrival and want to avoid this pattern entirely, this program may also fit.

A note for regulated professionals

For professionals in regulated fields — physicians, nurses, engineers, teachers, lawyers, pharmacists, psychologists, and others — the rebuild involves a specific barrier: local licensure is required to practice, and local licensure often requires local experience. The program works through that situation with data and strategy: what options actually exist, which path makes sense for you, what it will realistically take. Where the work requires a specialist I cannot replace, I will say so and refer appropriately.

The part most programs do not address

Years in, and still rebuilding.

Years in and still rebuilding has its own emotional register. It is not the same as the recent-arrival experience. It is not addressed by newcomer programming.

The gap between what you expected Canada to be and what it has actually been is real — and the longer you carry it, the heavier it gets. The career you built before Canada still counts. This program is built to make that legible in a market that does not always know how to read it, without pretending the systemic layer is just a personal one.

The program arc

How the program works.

01

Understand where you are

Three validated career assessments establish a clear, data-informed picture of your strengths, motivations, values, and how you present in the Canadian professional context. We start from a real foundation, not assumptions.

02

Build clearer direction

Ten working sessions over 12–16 weeks to work through the deeper layers: what is realistic here, what is worth moving toward, and what the rebuild looks like for you specifically — not a generic template for someone in your industry.

03

A written Canadian Career Plan with your clearer direction and next-step strategy. Something grounded, practical, and yours.
